The community of sailors

This past Saturday Sage Marine was the site host for the 2nd Annual Colorado Indoor Mid-Winter Messabout.  Two-dozen folks came together and enjoyed an afternoon of fellowship.

The event came about after Colorado (CO) folks missed getting together each February after a large get-together on Lake Havasu was canceled.  Sailing in the frozen high country isn’t an option, but getting together and talking boats is!

Organization of the Messabout is casual: bring your boat (if you want), bring a dish to share (if you want) and talk about boats (required).

Five home built boats were in attendance: a sailing canoe, two rowing canoes, a sailboard/paddleboard/surfboard and a kayak.

If you are in the greater Denver area please consider attending in 2016.  The ‘traditional’ date is around the last Saturday, or so, of January.
