Busy at Sage Marine

I’m sorry folks in being negligent in posting to the blog.  been very busy with boat shop tasks and travel.

as i write this i’m in Port Townsend, WA, for the start of Race 2 AlaskaSage Marine is one of the event’s sponsors and i’m here to ‘wave the company flag’.  in addition i will be sailing across the Strait of Juan de Fuca from Port Townsend to Victoria, BC.

over the past couple of days i’ve been able to go sailing on AIR BORN –

the sailing has been good … and allowed me to get back into practice as the last time i went sailing was back in February.

Matt has spent the last couple of week in Sacramento, CA, working with Jerry Montgomery on the Sage 15 mold.

since the above photos were taken the deck mold is complete and work has progressed in the interior hull liner (ie, the cabin seating and v-berth).

Tomorrow morning, 4 June, at 5am, Race to Alaska (leg one) begins.  I’ll post information about my adventure crossing the Strait of Juan de Fuca and in Victora, BC
