Non-technical boat building tools

Some boat building tools are not highly technical. Pictured here is our new ‘Sage 15 transport cradle’. Sage 15s fresh out of the molds will be moved from one side of the building, the fiberglass shop, to the assembly side of the building. This cart has ‘4×4’ tires so we can pull it easily around the building … even in snow.

Greg will be cutting the wood boards to fit the shape of the S15 hull, and covering the edge with carpet, to hold the boats securely during the move.

Why move the hull outside the building? the door between the two sides of the shop isn’t large enough. The cart is a less expensive alternative than a larger fire rated door (by thousands of $$$).
